Know your leather...

With so many "leather goods" in the marketplace the difference in leather quality, and even the materials it's constructed with, are often overlooked and misunderstood.

The Leather Parlour uses only "Full Grain" and "Top Grain" leathers.

Top Grain and Full Grain leathers are the highest quality available. They are cut directly from the hide and do not contain any fillers, glues or adhesives. These leather offer superior strength, beauty, and will age well over the years.

Unfortunately many good on the market today are not made with this type of leather. Often labels like "genuine leather" are very misleading and trick customers into the belief that they are buying a quality product built to last. "Genuine Leather" has become a catch all term for a number of products ranging from the belly or fibrous part of the hide (which lacks strength and durability) to a manufactured leather containing leather "bits" mixed with glues and adhesives (bonded leather).

Regardless of the maker or product, always make sure to check for "top grain" or "full grain" labels if your truly looking for a products that will stand the test of time!
